Scholarships available for Foster and Kinship Parent Members of CSFPA

Both conference registration and hotel scholarships are available to Colorado certified foster and kinship parents.

Registration scholarships are available for certified foster/kinship parents in the amount of $100* per person. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis and must be requested by completing the Registration Scholarship Request Form. Each attendee must request their own scholarship.

Lodging scholarships are available for certified foster/kinship parents in the amount of $110* per person. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come first serve basis and must be requested by completing the Lodging Scholarship Request Form.  This covers one of two night’s lodging at the hotel. Each attendee must request their own scholarship for lodging as well as conference registration scholarship. If you are attending without a spouse/partner, and want to save money, you can certainly reach out to other foster parents in your community to see if you can share a room with someone. Please note that you are responsible for making your own room reservations and the hotel will request a credit card to hold your room. CSFPA will provide a master list of lodging scholarship recipients directly to the hotel closer to conference time so that your billing may be adjusted.

Room rates start at $110/night for regular hotel room rates. Sheraton Denver Tech Center offers multiple room options to accommodate your needs. You can make your reservation by phone or online.

Workshops & Events

There are 40 workshops and events to choose from, all presented by experts in their area of knowledge.  The list of events and workshops can be found in the Conference Registration Brochure (PDF)

This year’s conference includes breakfast on Thursday and Friday, lunch on all three days, plus a lite meal during Movie Night. You must register for the meal sessions. If you do not register – well, you may be hungry! So please make sure you register accordingly and let us know if you have any food issues.

Child Care and Children’s Policy

We LOVE kids. However, we do not offer childcare at this event. Childcare at a three-day conference continues to be a challenge with regard to liability and hotel liability. In addition, we really want our participants to be focused and engaged in their learning experience while attending the conference. You may bring your own childcare of course – and they would be welcome to check out the local kid-friendly venues in the metro area (we’ll provide a list of things to do) but children of any age are not allowed in workshops or working meals. We appreciate your understanding.

Certificates of Participation

Each registered conference attendee will receive a certificate of participation that displays all of the classes offered. Classes attended will be noted by the participant on the certificate through the honor system. Please hang on to your certificates as CSFPA will not provide duplicate copies.

If you register and then find out that you cannot attend the conference, contact CSFPA to cancel your registration and we will refund your registration cost minus a $25 cancellation fee per person until October 1. Sorry, no refunds after that date.
